If you love the adrenaline you get when playing sport, chances are you’ll want to fill your sports tour with fixtures, live sport and theme parks.
The below destinations are all perfect examples of sports tour options which contain big theme parks, guaranteed to give you the thrill factor….
1. Busch Gardens, Orlando
Packed full of some of Florida’s best roller coasters, animal encounters, shows and rides, Busch Gardens is our favourite Orlando Theme Park for good reason. The park has an African theme and top rides include Cheetah Hunt – the park’s longest rollercoaster, the Congo River Rapids, Stanley Falls log flume, and the looping Kumba rollercoaster.
Home to more than 12,000 animals, it is also one of the largest zoos in North America, bringing you face to face with both exotic and endangered species.
2. Gardaland, Italy
Get the heart pumping with a trip to this popular theme park! As Italy’s largest theme park, located on the shores of Lake Garda, groups can enjoy four themed villages, plus over 30 attractions and restaurant areas.
Tackle the adrenaline-fuelled rides and attractions, including the Colorado Boat, Jungle Rapids, Blue Tornado and the Magic Mountain, and explore the largest dolphinarium in Italy. This is a great day out for groups looking to blow off some steam!
3. Aquaventure Waterpark, Dubai
This is one for the adrenaline junkies! Get your fill of heart-pumping rides, slides and wave pools, as well as enchanting marine life at Aquaventure Waterpark. Whether it’s the excitement of record-breaking rides and slides that you seek or the relaxing sands of the park’s private beach, Aquaventure has got you covered.
Face the wrath of Poseidon as you plummet down a near-vertical drop at speeds of 60 kilometres an hour, jump on an inflatable and journey down into the middle of a shark-filled lagoon and twist and turn your way down Slitherine, the world’s first dual waterslide within a waterslide.
4. Disneyland Resort, Orlando
Disneyland Resort Orlando offers four different parks; Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.
Visitors can’t fail to be won over by Disney’s upbeat, welcoming atmosphere and the chance to see all your favourite characters, as well as taking advantage of the world-class rides and attractions to be found in all four parks.
5. Walibi World, The Netherlands
If you’re looking for an activity to give your students a ‘day off’ from their sports focused tour then Walibi World would be our recommendation.
This is a fantastic theme park located an hour east of Amsterdam with over 40 attractions. Negotiate dare devil rides and thrills, choose from six roller coasters such as the Robin Hood, Xpress and the Goliath mega-coaster and get soaked on the Waikiki Wave and the Crazy River. With names like these you know it’ll be fun!
