What to do on a rainy day in Malta…

There are a lot of things that we can guarantee when you book a school trip with Rayburn Tours – safe accommodation, suitable excursions and a perfectly matched itinerary to your group’s requirements. Sadly, one thing we can’t guarantee is the weather!

But bad weather shouldn’t dampen (pardon the pun) your group’s spirits, as Tour Consultant Gemma recently found out on a sports tour to Malta

We found ourselves slightly unlucky with the weather, the only day when it was too bad was when we planned to head out on the Comino Cruise. Instead, we had a full day to explore some inside activities! Here are my top 3 recommendations of what Malta has to offer:

1. Bowling
Being on a sports tour, everyone has that competitive mentality, so spending a few hours playing and competing against each other was a great team building exercise. There were some close results between lanes and some standout individual performances too!

2. Shopping
What better way to hide out from the rain than to go shopping, where you can grab the odd souvenir or treat for yourself?!

3. Aquarium
Just a short walk from our hotel, the aquarium offers the chance to see some fantastic underwater creatures as well as reptiles and the baby station.

One thing I have learnt is that the weather in Malta can change daily and be different depending on which part of the island you’re on, but it doesn’t have to affect what a great time you can have! Even getting caught out in some bad weather didn’t stop the girls from Royal Alexandra & Albert School and I from having a brilliant sports tour!
