School History Trips to The Netherlands
A country of culture, beauty and troubling history
Get ready to transport your students to the heart of Europe’s captivating past with a journey through a history trip to The Netherlands. From the harrowing events of the Second World War and the Holocaust to the vibrant culture, electrifying art, and international relations of Amsterdam today.
No visit to the Netherlands is complete without a visit to the Anne Frank House, where students will delve into one of the most iconic accounts of Jewish life during the Nazi era. Trust us when we say that this is a stop that your students will never forget! We also recommend travelling east towards Arnhem, the site of the 1944 Allied attempt to drive the Nazis back further towards Germany, to learn about the mission known as Operation Market Garden.
This group bonding experience is not only life-changing, but also an opportunity to instil valuable skills that can’t be learned within the four walls of a classroom. Watching your students realise the impact of history and how their present-day knowledge and actions will shape the future, is inspiring!
